Hardshell, Insecticon Brute

Hardshell (ハードシェル, Hādosheru) is one of the most ferocious, among the Insecticons. He didn't need to prove it through words, as his many battle scars, gained while he fought many Wreckers, were ample proof. He also liked to gloat about those he had battled and had little patience for those who insulted him or his brethren.

His beast mode is a Cybertronian Rhinoceros Beetle.

Synopsis

Hardshell was sent by Shockwave in order to challenge a recently escaped Grimlock, Sludge, and Swoop. Using a battlesuit he attempted to blast the three Dinobots away, but luckily Swoop provided Grimlock and Sludge explosive fuel pods to fling at the Insecticon. When Hardshell was defeated, Grimlock pulled the Insecticon out of his seat and smashed his face into a panel, using his optics to unlock a door.
